Hey there, sunshine!

It appears that the three of us have been bitten by some little sick bug.  We're all stuffy, coughy, and generally not well over here.  But that isn't stopping a certain little someone from tearing the house apart, so it's also not stopping Erik or me (unfortunately).  Being sick is tough.  Being sick as a parent with a small child (aw hell, any sized child) is worse.

Spring is in the air!  Can you feel it?  We sure can.  Today was one of the first really nice days that we've seen this winter.  The sun is out, the air is warm(er), and the three of us needed the fresh air.  So we went down to Annapolis this morning to walk around for a little bit and get us out of the house.  Jacob has always loved to be outside and today was no exception.  The minute we pulled that little man out of his stroller and set him on hard ground, he was off and running.  Literally.  He's exhausting to keep up with!
Follow me, Dad.
We spent most of our time walking around the Naval Academy.  They have nice grounds, it's relatively quiet (especially when the Midshipmen are out on spring break, like today), and it's not an overwhelmingly large area.
I'm ready to run!
After being cooped up in the house for the majority of these last few months, it felt great to get outside and enjoy the air.
Dad, I'll race you!

Love being outside!

When you're 12 months old, you push your own stroller.

Mom, you're in my way.
We were only there for a few hours, but the great outdoors tuckered that kid out.  He slept all the way home (which is really only 30 minutes or so), came in the house, had a diaper change, and went right back down for a nap.

Tomorrow is supposed to be even warmer, though maybe not as sunny.  But that's okay -- we'll make it outside anyway.  Especially since that little bit of sun and warmth made us all feel a tad bit better.
