Tick Tock

We're getting closer!  Yesterday marked 37 weeks.  We've got a full-term baby in here! 

We took a tour of the labor and delivery wing and maternal child care wing of the hospital on Monday.  It definitely makes thing much more real.  All of the emotions are starting to kick in: excited, nervous, scared, worried...  You name it, I'm probably feeling it.  All at the same time.  There are some really nice things they offer at the hospital though -- a stocked pantry in both wings with a variety of juices and snack items; a nice "common area" in the maternal child care unit where you can take baby and visit with larger groups of people (the rooms in this wing can be a little tight with 4+ people visiting); and free wi-fi (so I won't be bored -- not that I really would be with a new baby). 

We've put together a few more items for baby in an attempt to get rid of boxes.  The "newborn napper" is together, as is the Fisher Price play seat/toddler rocker.  My mom, babcia, and sister sent me Grover's coming home outfit.  Everything is slowly coming completely together.

Doctor's report as of yesterday:  Grover is moving down and is just under 7 pounds, give or take.  She thinks we're still on track for a Feb 15 due date, but obviously I need to be ready for anything.

My sub plans for work are done.  I need to make some photocopies of things in order to have it complete, and actually get everything into a binder, but everything is planned.  Working out 12 weeks of lessons when you're not exactly sure what's going to happen can be really frustrating. 

This weekend brings my mom and dad down to do some extra shopping with me for some of the larger items we might still need.  Erik is going to continue working on the dresser/changing table -- it's getting really close to being finished.  And it looks like we'll also be making sure that the car seat is installed and my bag is pretty much packed -- just in case.  Stay tuned...
