Michael - 10 Months

Just in time for your 11 monthiversary!  Sorry, baby boy.  I really do love you...

But oh sweet second child of mine...  You are too much to handle sometimes.  You don't sit still for long, and God help the person who lays you down to change your diaper, or get you dressed, or try to take 10 month pictures of you.

You don't let anything get in your way.  When you want something, you go for it.  That's earned you the nickname of "Tank."  You just barrel right over anything or anyone to get to what you want.  To say that you're pushy would be an understatement.  If you don't want something, you push it away or slap it out of our hands.  If you do want something, well, that's when you'll do anything to get to it.  Today you chased me and got in my path as I ran the sweeper (sorry -- vacuum) because you wanted to check it out.

Even though the picture above doesn't show it, you do love your big brother.  Whatever he's doing, you usually want a piece of it.  There are times, like above, when you don't want to be held down by him.  But usually if he's into it, you are too.

You have two bottom teeth and you're cutting one on top.  You love your snacks of Cheerios and puffs.  Bananas are a favorite.  You haven't really met much food that you don't like, except for pureed meat (who can blame you) and green vegetables.

You love your pacifier and your blanket.  When you're having a hard time, those two things usually calm you right down.  Other times, you'll crawl over to us and into our laps when you need a little love.

Clapping your hands and waving good-bye are two of your newest tricks.  You crawl and cruise and you're getting a bit braver -- you'll stand without support for a few seconds.  You push around everything that's not nailed down.  And you take a few steps on your own here and there -- but not often, because you don't like it.  But you'll probably be walking soon anyway.  Crawling is overrated.

Then we'll REALLY be in trouble.
