The End of Spring Break

So, spring break ended.  I was back to work this week.  And I was sad.  But the end of the break was jam-packed with activities.  Jacob and I went up to Pittsburgh to see my family that Wednesday through Friday.  He loves to play with his trains up there and sit in dziadzia's chair.  I don't blame him.  It's a super comfy chair.

While up there we looked for the Easter Bunny...

And we had an Easter egg hunt...

And we went on a ride in the fire truck down at Uncle Jonathan and Uncle Jack's fire station...

Jacob was a non-stop talker and was fascinated by everything.  He loved every minute of the trip.  Well, except for the car ride up and home.  That was a little rough at times.  But once we were up there, he was a pretty happy little boy.  We stopped by my old high school, where my mom and brother teach, and Jacob happily played with the robots in my brother's lab.  We had a great visit.  And of course, I was sad to leave, as I always am.

Back at home on Saturday, Erik did some work on getting our garden together.  Jacob thought that was fun, and he happily played with the new trucks that my parents got him.

We spent Easter Sunday with Erik's family.  I made cupcakes, which Jacob thought were pretty fabulous.  But we had an egg hunt around our house and did Easter baskets before meeting up with the family.

The theme of Jacob's basket was trains.  Of course.

And then our break came to end.  And now we're counting down the days until summer vacation, and all the fun things we're starting to plan.
